~ From Passion to Purpose….
Fashion has always been more than clothing and accessories to me. It has been confidence…. expression…. creativity. A way to tell a story without saying a word. For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved putting outfits together – mixing textures, playing with color, and finding that one perfect piece that makes everything come alive. It goes back to early years. My high school classmates voted me “Best Dressed”. I was later blessed with a boy and a girl, and they were quickly deemed by many as ‘the best dressed children around.” That was a reflection of my love for classic silhouettes, thoughtful coordination, and timeless southern style. What started as a personal passion slowly grew into something significant: a dream of creating a space where other women could feel that same spark.
That dream, with the help of my girls, became GREEN RUFFLE.
We did not start with a business plan to begin with. We started with a feeling. I saw how powerful fashion could be in a woman’s life. Grace Anna and Cynthia both worked for successful boutiques in Savannah, GA. I could see through them how the right outfit can shift your posture, your mood, or simply your entire day. It can give you confidence before a meeting, excitement before a special event, or comfort during a season of difficulty.
We began to talk about creating a boutique that wasn’t just about selling clothes. We want to build a space where women feel seen, celebrated, and inspired. I have spent many hours being a personal shopper for others by having an eye for putting colors and styles together. That wasn’t enough for starting a boutique. The three of us had to take what we know and have continued to learn quickly. Our knowledge was built on sourcing inventory, building relationships with vendors, understanding sizing and trends, managing finances, and creating a brand identity. All of this was new territory for us but the one thing we know we want more than anything is to be a blessing and a light to everyone who shops with us.
Running a boutique is both creative and strategic and we have definitely learned that passion fuels perseverance. It is about trend forecasting and customer connection. It is about styling and storytelling. It is about listening. Confidence is contagious and we want everyone around us to feel that what we are building is from genuine love where style meets intention and every detail feels deliberate.
There are three of us. All three of us love fashion and we love that luxury is not loud. It is intentional. The three of us love the color green and you’ll always find one of us wearing a ruffle somewhere on our outfits. Green represents growth, renewal, and confidence. It symbolizes refinement. It reflects the women who value elegance over excess. A ruffle is the detail that elevates a garment from ordinary to unforgettable. We want GREEN RUFFLE to capture the balance between strength and softness, growth and grace, and classic and statement. It is not just about fashion alone…. It is about embracing growth while celebrating the details that make you feel beautiful.
